Earby

Lancashire

Earby is a cosy cottage with a picturesque garden, stream and waterfall close to the Pennine Way. It is an ideal stop for the Pennine Way Walker, as a base for local day hikes and for cyclists and those interested in the countryside and local heritage. It is particularly suited to individuals, families and small groups. Recently refurbished, the hostel has central heating throughout and a warm feeling of homeliness.

Opening hours

Matt is at the Hostel every day so there are no set reception times, but we do encourage you to give us a call when you’re about 30 minutes away and we can make sure Matt is there to welcome you. The rest of the hostel is open 24/7 such as the lounge, kitchen and dining areas. At the rear of the hostel is a wild garden which has several picnic tables and seating around it, a perfect place to sit and relax!

Bedrooms

21 beds in 1x2, 2x6 and 1x7 bedrooms. All bedding is provided. Each room has a wash basin. There are 3 showers and 3 toilets.

Meals

Earby is a self-catering hostel with the option to add prepared meals at the time of booking. Matt provides a cooked or cold option for breakfast, and can prepare a warm meal on an evening. If you would like to enjoy meals prepared by Matt simply let him know at the time of booking.

There several pubs, cafes and restaurants in the village. The White Lion and Punch Bowl pubs are nearby and offer meals.

The guests' kitchen is very well equipped with 2 gas hobs, a domestic sized cooker with double oven, large combi microwave, and 2 fridge freezers. All cooking utensils are provided. There is room to seat 18 in the dining areas and an additional relaxed dining area just off the kitchen.
